What to Expect in Worship
We worship in a beautiful Sanctuary with stained glass windows, an organ, choir and hymn singing. We follow the liturgical calendar, celebrating Advent, Chrsistmastide, Lent, Eastertide, Pentecost and Ordinary Time. Our pastor wears her robes during Holy seasons. But, being traditional does not mean stuffy! We use our projection screen for lyrics to hymns, sermon illustrations, and to sing to a contemporary praise video. There is also a special children's music video each week. We love our children, and while a nursery is offered during worship, we encourage age 5 and older to stay in the Sanctuary, as we believe that children learn by example. Twice a month our children leave to attend children's church with our children's director. As Disciples of Christ, communion is a central part of our weekly worship. All are invited to God's Table.
